Fresh advocate surfaces for the Defense Strategic Equipment Group (DEG)
Düsseldorfer EG (DEG) announces the signing of Maximilian Faber, a seasoned German ice hockey defenseman, for the forthcoming DEL2 season. The DEG, like Kassel Huskies, will compete in DEL2 next year.
Andreas Niederberger, DEG’s Managing Director, described Faber as an experienced defender who will significantly bolster the team. Faber, aged 32, boasts an impressive career, having played 411 games in the second German Ice Hockey League and 104 games in the premier league.

DEG management praised Faber's reliability and noted his past achievements, including the Best Defenseman award in DEL2 for the 2018-19, 2022-23, and 2023-24 seasons, as well as the Best +/- rating for 2022-23. Faber's superb defensive skills and ability to mentor younger players are expected to play a crucial role in the DEG's defensive unit next season.
Additional information indicates that Faber, born on May 18, 1993 in Hagen, Germany, has a powerful presence in Germany's DEL2 league, with 301 points (69 goals, 232 assists) in 411 games prior to his relocation.
