French Rap Star Werenoi's Demise: Crucial Facts to Understand

Living the Madness with Werenoi, a Rap Genius

Get ready to dive into the chaotic, mesmerizing world of Werenoi, a man who weaves his family's bloodlines with the art of rap, much like his fellow artist, Zequin. Although he's not much of a chatterbox in day-to-day life, he finds his voice in the spotlight, declaring, "I prefer to keep my private life a secret. Talk less, say more things you don't want to. Mystery is what I prefer."

Striding into Stardom

Werenoi first grabbed the attention of the world with his hit track, Guadalajara, debuting on the soundtrack of the film, En Passant Pécho, produced by his mentor Kore. The song turned heads, and its four music videos amassed an impressive 800,000 views on YouTube[1]. His follow-up singles, including Scarface, even earned him a gold certification in May 2023. Not only that, but he appeared on Lacrim's album for the track Señor de los Gallos.

Unlocking Success

In June 2022, Werenoi unleashed his first EP, Telegram, inspired by the social media platform where he had once shared the nine tracks that now made up the album. Throughout the year, he added four more tracks to the EP, one of which featured Ninho[1]. By March 2023, his EP was rewarded with a gold disk. Three additional gold singles emerged from Telegram: Solitaire, 3 singes, and Selfie (feat. Maes).

Hitting the Target

Shazam predicted a massive victory for Werenoi in January 2023, with collaborations from PLK, Ninho, Tiakola, and Lacrim, generating nearly 19,000 sales in the first week and taking the SNEP Top Albums chart by storm, climbing to the top six and remaining there until early June[1]. Several tracks from the album were eventually certified gold, including Ciao (featuring Ninho), Laboratoire, and Chemin d'or, which then went diamond.

Rising Above The Pyramid

In the year 2024, Werenoi released two installments, Pyramid 1 and 2, featuring collaborations from notable artists like Damso, SDM, Aya Nakamura, Hamza, and SCH & Maes[2]. Pyramid 2 was unveiled on October 18, 2024, carrying the momentum built by the single Pétunias, revealed two weeks earlier. The project's extension included collaborations with Gazo on La Famine and PLK on En pétard.

Black Diamonds

Werenoi's album, Black Diamond, dropped on April 11, 2025, featuring big-name artists such as Damso & Ninho, Dystinct, SDM & Vacra, Gunna, and Kalash.

This energetic, versatile artist has captured the hearts of hip-hop and rap enthusiasts worldwide, a testament to his undeniable talent and unapologetic style.

  • Key Tracks: "Gulfstream," "Piano," "Triple V" (feat. Damso, Ninho), "Poney," "Jalouse," "FTR" (feat. Lil Tjay), "Pyramide" (feat. Damso)[1][2][3]
