Freight Train Derails in Uttar Pradesh, Disrupting Major Routes
A freight train carrying twelve loaded wagons derailed near Mathura in Uttar Pradesh late Tuesday night, causing significant disruption to train traffic on major routes. The Indian Railways has taken responsibility for the accident.
The incident occurred between Vrindavan Road and Ajhai stations, halting traffic on the crucial Delhi-Mumbai route. The derailed wagons have blocked the down main line, UP main line, and third line, severely impacting train movements on the Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kota routes. Remarkably, no injuries were reported despite the extensive damage.
