Freezing rain and fog to grip Clement in early March storm

Cold and wet conditions will hit Clement at the start of the week. Temperatures are set to drop as low as -2 °C, with rain and fog expected from Monday, March 2. Drivers have been warned about possible road icing in the early mornings.

On Monday, March 2, the area will face a sharp chill, with readings between -2 °C and +11 °C. Night frosts are likely, and a strong northeast wind of 8-13 m/s will add to the discomfort. Rain will fall throughout the day, increasing the risk of icy patches on roads.

The wet weather will continue on Tuesday, March 3, and Wednesday, March 4, with persistent rain and fog. Conditions should improve by Thursday, March 5, as the system moves out. No significant rain is forecast for Thursday or Friday, March 6, allowing temperatures to stabilise.

Authorities have advised motorists to take extra care at the beginning of the week. Black ice may form overnight and in the early hours, particularly on untreated surfaces.

The unsettled spell will last until midweek before clearer weather arrives. By Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 6, skies should clear, and no further rain is expected. Residents can look forward to drier and more stable conditions as the week progresses.
