Freeze Warning: Idaho and Oregon Residents Protect Plants and Plumbing

A winter storm warning is currently in effect for parts of Idaho and Oregon. Sub-freezing temperatures are expected to persist through the early morning hours, posing a risk to outdoor plumbing and tender plants.

The winter storm warning, in place from 5 AM MDT (4 AM PDT) to 10 AM MDT (9 AM PDT) on Tuesday, covers south central and southwest Idaho, as well as southeast Oregon. Residents are advised to protect tender plants by covering them or bringing them indoors. Outdoor plumbing should be insulated or drained to prevent freezing.
