A38 Commotion: Hefty Truck Collision Shuts Down Roadway
The mornings were pulsating with activity until an unforeseen event occurred between the Großwechsungen and Nordhausen-West junctions. The aftermath of this incident led to a monumental traffic jam that made its way back towards Leipzig.
Unfathomable Collision
The event began with a precarious situation when a truck driver, aged 64, failed to acknowledge the halted traffic and plowed into another truck. The force of the clash was so immense that the stationary truck was propelled into yet another one.
The individual responsible for the events was trapped within the cab, later receiving severe medical attention. Another person endured grave injuries, and a third person suffered minor wounds. The police placed an approximate value of 155,000 euros for the damage .

The artery between Bleicherode and Nordhausen (lead towards Leipzig) was closed because of the collision. The policemen forecasted it would take numerous hours to retrieve the damaged trucks.
