The people in the photo appear to be dressed in traditional German clothing, with some wearing hats and others wearing cloaks. The stage is decorated with colorful lights and decorations, and the audience is cheering and clapping in the background.

Free Stage Neuwied festival returns with comedy and family fun this June

The Free Stage Neuwied festival returns this summer to Rommersdorf Abbey. Set against historic walls and the English Garden, the event will open on Friday, June 19, with a comedy performance.

The festival kicks off with Boris Weber's Love à la Woody, a comedy that examines identity and reality through Woody Allen's film style. This production marks the first of several performances spanning music, cabaret, and theatre.

For younger audiences, the festival includes *The Master Detective of Pumpernudel*, a children's and family show. The story follows Buffel, a clever dog who solves a string of thefts in the fictional town of Pumpernudel. Blending live action and puppet theatre, the production runs on Sunday, June 21, and Monday, June 22. Rommersdorf Abbey, a long-standing venue for the Free Stage Neuwied, provides a scenic backdrop for the event. The festival's mix of genres and family-friendly entertainment continues its tradition of summer performances in this historic setting.

The festival begins with Love à la Woody on June 19, followed by The Master Detective of Pumpernudel later that weekend. Audiences can expect a mix of comedy, theatre, and music in a unique historic location. The event runs as part of the Free Stage Neuwied's annual summer programme.
