Users can customise the home screen to group events and matches by leagues, with popular leagues like the Bundesliga and 1. Bundesliga, Champions League (Men's and Women's), Conference League, EFL Championship, Europa League, Formula 1, LaLiga, Liga MX, Ligue 1, Ligue 2, MLB, MLS, NASCAR, NBA, NCAA Basketball (Men's and Women's), NCAAF, NFL, NHL, NWSL, Premier League, Primeira Liga, Segunda División, Serie A, Serie B, Tennis (Men's and Women's), and WNBA covered.

One of the standout features of Apple Sports is the live activity updates on the iPhone lock screen and Apple Watch. Users can switch between live scores and upcoming games, and access additional sports information like team stats and lineup details. The app also allows fans to share current games with others using "Game Card Sharing."
