Frankfurt is looking to relocate Crack-addicted individuals off the streets in the Bahnhofsviertel, acknowledging the decline in individuals' conditions due to the widespread use of Crack. Elke Voitl, head of the Social and Health Department (Greens), highlighted an advancement in Frankfurt's strategy.

Originating from Germany's first official drug consumption room established in 1994, Frankfurt currently has four such places, including those in the Bahnhofsviertel. Initially designed for heroin addicts, these centers may soon cater to Crack users with Frankfurt's plans to establish a Comprehensive Substance Abuse Support Center. Voitl emphasized the need for these drug consumption rooms to be more equipped to cater to individuals in a highly stimulated state.

Broader strategies to combat Crack addiction in Frankfurt may involve community engagement, public health initiatives, and access to rehabilitation services. Community engagement could emphasize switching from a problem-focused language to a person-focused approach. Public health officials advocate for treating addiction as a brain disease, emphasizing empathy, medical care, and social services. The history and sociology of addiction should also be considered, as extreme addictive behaviors can be manifestations of normal psychological urges.

As for specific rehabilitation facilities, there are lists available for areas such as Frankfort, Kentucky, which could serve as models for other locations, such as the Bahnhofsviertel.

Frankfurt is also home to the Infinity Center-Frankfort, offering a supportive environment through outpatient drug rehab programs, providing individuals an opportunity to regain control over their lives.
