Frank Zander Serves Roast Goose Despite Avian Flu Outbreak at Annual Homeless Christmas Party

Despite the recent avian flu outbreak, Berlin entertainer Frank Zander has confirmed that roast goose will be served at his annual Christmas party for the homeless. The event, set to take place on December 22 at the Estrel Hotel in Berlin, expects around 2,500 guests from various social welfare organizations.

The decision to serve goose comes despite the increased costs due to the avian flu outbreak. Around 5,000 free-range geese and 3,600 ducks from Spargelhof Kremmen were culled due to the disease. Notably, Frank Zander's own goose, Erna, who he 'pardoned' in 2018 and lived in a small enclosure at Spargelhof, was also culled. Erna, who had offspring, was a beloved figure at the farm.

The Christmas party, organized by Marcus Zander, will welcome guests from approximately 80 social welfare organizations. While the specific organizations invited are not yet confirmed, the event aims to provide a festive meal and some cheer to those in need during the holiday season.

Despite the challenges posed by the avian flu outbreak, Frank Zander remains committed to his annual tradition of hosting a Christmas party for the homeless. The event, with its roast goose and other festive fare, is expected to bring joy and warmth to around 2,500 guests this year.
