"Django" Star Unveils His Hollywood Star - Franco Nero earns Hollywood Walk of Fame star after 60 years in cinema

Franco Nero received the 2,835th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony on Thursday. The event took place outside the Montalbán Theatre on Vine Street in Los Angeles, honouring his six-decade career in film.

Nero first gained worldwide recognition in 1966 for his role in the Spaghetti Western Django. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 200 films and collaborated with legendary directors like Rainer Werner Fassbinder, John Huston, and Franco Zeffirelli.

At the ceremony, Nero also addressed recent controversy. He defended his choice to cast Kevin Spacey in his 2022 directorial debut, The Man Who Drew God. The actor stated that he believes in second chances, including for Spacey.

The star marks a milestone in Nero's long and varied career. His contributions to cinema span over 60 years, from iconic Westerns to collaborations with some of the industry's most respected filmmakers. The honour solidifies his place among Hollywood's enduring talents.
