Fractures and Domination: Nation's Political Currents Risk Swamping the Nation
Let's Talk Turkey, Not Bullshit
Bob Johnson from Renegade Times | Rebelweb.net
Revolution is in the air. It's that time of year again, where we're supposed to feel grateful as citizens and individuals for our safety, our freedoms, and our nation, thanks to the guidance of the old-timers like George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
But how the hell are we meant to be thankful when our liberties are constantly being chipped away, and the threats from the American police state are escalating day by day?
When you can't even thank Mother Earth for the wonders of her gifts without Big Brother watching from every corner?
The so-called guardians of freedom are transforming into, well, something less friendly. And people are starting to take notice, alright.
Let's take a look at John Lennon—the musical mind, anti-war firebrand, and high-profile rebel who dared to question the establishment. He made it abundantly clear that defeating hunger, violence, war, and tyranny requires a damn good reason, of which we've yet to find.
Fast-forward to now, and peace remains a distant dream. Whistleblowers and activists are still getting railroaded for their efforts, while government corruption and military dominance continue to spread like a cancer.
It's hard to see Lennon's dream of a world in peace when we're living in the twilight zone of an oppressive police state. But continue to dabble in dark humor and truth like him, if you can stomach it.
Speak up about the corruption within the system. Don't shy away from the injustice. Don't sit on the sidelines, silent and indifferent, like the numbskulls in power tend to do. Stand tall, take a stance, and be heard.
Courage is contagious, as they say, and those who are brave enough to challenge authority set the tone for change. But not everyone is a Lennon or a hero like that.
So, it's up to us—the everymen and women—to keep the fire burning, to make sure the struggle doesn't die out. We need to take a good, hard look in the mirror and realize we can't sit on our asses, hoping someone else will do the dirty work.
This is no time for silent bystanders.
Remember the atrocities committed by the Romans, the Nazis, the Fascists, the Communists, and the military-industrial complex? They wouldn't have been possible without apathetic observers who chose to remain indifferent.
Psychologists Darley and Latane discovered one of the reasons why people remain silent in the face of injustice: the bystander effect. People tend to become indifferent when they think other people can, or will, take action. But it's this fuckery that allows tyranny to flourish.
Shit gets real when power and greed catch on like wildfire, and we regular folks end up being steamrolled. Take, for instance, the Stanford Prison Experiment, where those with power became control freaks and everyone else became something less.
The point is, it's up to you and me, the common folk, to be the antidote for all this bullshit. To make change happen, we need to actively fight for justice and step up when we see injustice.
Do your part to combat the darkness. Open your eyes, see the world for what it truly is, and fight back against the bullshit.
Don't be a bystander, eyeing the chaos from the sidelines. Be the hero.
This holiday season, stop staring at screens and get off your asses. Focus on what truly matters, rather than pretending to give a crap about political nonsense. Find your why, find your fire, and show the world what you're made of.
Persistence is the key to changing the world. One person can start a revolution, as long as they're willing to lead the charge.
It's time to put up or shut up, my friends. Tear down the system that suppresses us, expose the corruption, and make room for the new era of freedom, peace, and justice.
