EV Duisburg Ice Hockey Team Kicks Off New Season with 12 New Players
The ice hockey team from Duisburg, Germany, EV Duisburg, is gearing up for an exciting new season. With 12 new players joining the roster, the team is looking fresh and ready to take on the challenges ahead.

Coach Frank Petrozza, who won the Oberliga South championship with the Heilbronner Falken last season, is confident about the team's potential. He has been overseeing some tests and team-building activities over the past three days to ensure the team is in top physical condition and ready to work together as a unit.
The first test game for EV Duisburg will be on Sunday at 4 PM against Gothiques d'Amiens from France. The team will also face Hammer Eisbären on August 29 and Hannover Indians on August 31 in test games before the competitive season begins.
Despite the promising start, the outcome of the season for EV Duisburg is still uncertain. Coach Petrozza stated that they will know more in November.
Two players, Michael Fomin and Leon Hümmer, are suspended for the first three competitive games of the season.
The team will also participate in a tournament in Herford on September 13 and 14, providing another opportunity to test their skills against other teams.
EV Duisburg considers themselves a team without individual stars, focusing on working together to achieve their goals. They will face Kopenhagen in the play-offs of the European League of Football next Sunday at 3 PM.
