Fox Sports presenter embraces no-makeup live TV blunder with humor

Fox Sports presenter Charmaine Mifsud recently went live without realising she had no makeup on. The incident happened during a news bulletin on Fox News, but she took it in her stride. After removing her makeup—thinking her shift had ended—she was unexpectedly called back on air.

Mifsud later shared the unfiltered moment on Instagram, calling it an 'amazing' experience. The broadcaster has built a reputation for her relaxed approach, having previously laughed off hiccups during a live cricket report on Fox Sports earlier this year.

Mifsud has worked across multiple networks, including Channel Seven, Sky News, and NBN Television. At Fox Sports, she covers a variety of sports, with a particular focus on boxing and MMA. Her social media features encounters with high-profile athletes like Tyson Fury, Anthony Mundine, and Israel Adesanya.

The on-air makeup mishap isn’t her only unscripted moment. Earlier this year, she handled a bout of hiccups while reading a cricket story on Fox Sports, brushing it off with humour. Her ability to stay composed in unexpected situations has made her a recognisable face on the network.

Meanwhile, Fox Sports is reshaping its team ahead of the NRL season. Mitch Diffin has taken over as head of rugby league, while Jamie Lockyer will lead cricket coverage. Former premiership winner Kieran Foran will also join the rugby league team in a permanent role.

In the US, Fox Sports has added NFL legend Drew Brees as a game analyst. Starting November 2025, he will work alongside play-by-play commentator Adam Amin, with Kristina Pink reporting from the sidelines.

Mifsud’s unplanned no-makeup broadcast has drawn attention, but she remains unfazed. The network’s recent hires signal a push to strengthen its sports programming before key seasons begin. Both on and off screen, Fox Sports continues to adapt its lineup with new talent and roles.
