Fired-Up Fox Host Slams Trump's Middle East Shenanigans

In a shocking turn of events, Fox News commentator Mark Levin, a well-known supporter of President Donald Trump, has lit into the Commander-in-Chief following his visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Levin, who recently joined Trump's Department of Homeland Security's Advisory Council (HSAC), didn't pull any punches when he finger-pointed at Arab nations for their ties to terrorism.

"Saudi Arabia played a bloody hand in the 9/11 massacre of our folks," Levin wrote on social media after Trump toured the kingdom to chat with Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS).

"I didn't catch even an 'I'm sorry' from their Crown Prince yesterday during the visit."

Without naming the president in his fiery post, the usually pro-Trump host took a swing at the Middle Eastern countries, which many believe were the target of Levin's critique.

Levin, as a Jew, also blasted Qatar's government, labeling it as a "terrorist regime" that embraces Hamas. In another post, he declared, "Qatar celebrates Hamas terrorists."

Despite Levin's consternation, Trump and MBS seemed to hit it off perfectly; the two leaders appeared warm and buddy-buddy from the start. However, Levin called out the visit as a slap in the face to 9/11 victims and their families.

Meanwhile, Qatar has historically offered sanctuary to enemies of the U.S., most notably the top leaders of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. For instance, Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas' longtime leader, lived in Qatar's capital Doha from 2017 until his death in Iran last year.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, bore the responsibility for 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers and supported Al-Qaeda. While the country officially designated the Osama bin Laden-led faction as a terrorist group post-9/11, it has recently also designated the Muslim Brotherhood, Yemen's Houthis, ISIS, Al-Nusra, and Hezbollah as terrorist groups.

MBS and Trump couldn't seem to stay apart, engaging in friendly banter while attending an economic forum, cultural events, and taking joyrides in golf carts. Videos of the visit display Trump and MBS grinning ear-to-ear in the cart as hundreds of men in traditional garb—some mounted on horses—surrounded them.

True to form, Levin couldn't help but express his thoughts on the visit.

"I can't shake thoughts of the innocent people who went to work on that fateful day, and were on those planes, and the firefighters and police officers who died horrific deaths," Levin wrote in a pointed post.

"These are terrorists. They don't think like we do and don't cherish life like we do. We must find the courage and wisdom to safeguard ourselves."

But Levin wasn't done yet. He also criticized a speech delivered by Trump to the Saudis, labeling it as rhetoric favored by the "Soros-Koch isolationist crowd" regarding neocons and interventionists. While he did offer praise for the president's deal-making abilities, he suggested that the details of such deals remained unclear.
