The original series was the brainchild of Dan Brierley, but for the 4th season, he has taken a step back. In his place, the scriptwriting duties will fall on the capable hands of Chris Brandon, the acclaimed writer of Bloodlands.

ITV's Director of Drama, Polly Hill, shared her sentiments: "Given the incredible reception of Trigger Point in the past year, I'm elated that this engaging series will be returning for a fourth season. Audiences will undoubtedly be on the edge of their seats as they follow Lana and her team on another pulse-pounding journey."

The upcoming third series will see the Expo team tackling a bomb threat that escalates into a sinister conspiracy. The ‘someone’ behind the nefarious plan is targeting individuals and seeking revenge. One can only speculate what awaits Lana and her colleagues when the fourth series finally arrives in 2026!
