Fourth of July Special "A Capitol Fourth" Air Time and Streaming Guidelines

Get ready for a spectacular 4th of July celebration as A Capitol Fourth returns for its 45th anniversary. This all-American event will be broadcast live on PBS stations across the country and streamed online on Friday, July 4th, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

A Capitol Fourth, America's National Independence Day Celebration, promises an evening filled with music, fireworks, and patriotic fervour. The concert will take place on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol and will feature a diverse lineup of performers across genres, including pop, country, R&B, classical, and Broadway.

The event will kick off with performances by The Beach Boys, Yolanda Adams, Josh Turner, Trombone Shorty, and LOCASH. The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, The Joint Armed Forces Chorus, The Choral Arts Society of Washington, Patrick Lundy & The Ministers of Music, and The United States Army Band are also set to perform.

A special treat for music lovers will be the performance by the winner of the 2024 American Idol, Abi Carter. Pop sensation Lauren Daigle will also take the stage to entertain the crowd. The concert will be conducted by Jack Everly, the premiere pops conductor, with The National Symphony Orchestra.

The evening will culminate in a breathtaking display of fireworks, marking the grand finale of America's biggest birthday party.

Alfonso Ribeiro, best known for his role in the hit TV show "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," will host the event.
