Aschaffenburg Youth Parliament Elections Result in New Representatives

The city of Aschaffenburg has welcomed a new group of young leaders as the 4th Aschaffenburg Youth Parliament (JuPa) was elected on July 24th at 6 p.m. in the Youth Culture Center. The election, which took place from June 23rd to July 6th, saw a diverse group of young people aged 13 to 18 participating, including Lilly (15 years old), Amir (14 years old), Audrey, and Ricco, among others.

The election party took place on Saturday, July 19th, at the "Fest für Vielfalt" in the youniverse area. Mayor Jessica Euler welcomed the new JuPa members into office and bid farewell to the 3rd Youth Parliament, summarizing the themes and projects of the past two years. Johanna Flaton, Felix Westarp, and Clara Elisabeth Paul from the board of the Youth Parliament gave a farewell speech and thanked all supporters in the name of the JuPa.

The new Youth Parliament will give young people a strong voice and the opportunity to shape the city according to their wishes. The topics included Aschaffenburg public transport, leisure and noise regulation, the bylaw amendment of the Youth Parliament, the renovation of the skate park, and the application for a rainbow street marking. All candidates who were not directly elected to the Youth Parliament received a certificate for their participation.

The 4th Youth Parliament will hold its constituent meeting on July 24th at 6 pm in Jugendkulturzentrum, Kirchhofweg 2, where the board of the Youth Parliament will be elected. Young people are encouraged to contact the business office of the Youth Parliament at jugendparlament@unsere Website, phone 0152-59423889, or via Instagram: jupa_unsere Website, for any questions.
