Last night at around 7:25 pm, a fire erupted in a 23rd-floor flat located at Block 5 Holland Close, Holland Village, Singapore. This information comes following the immediate response of the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) to the scene.

Before the SCDF's arrival, two residents had already evacuated the affected flat and were sent to the Singapore General Hospital for evaluation of smoke inhalation. Tragically, two firefighters endured heat exhaustion during the operation and were also transported to the hospital.
Approximately 100 residents from the block were evacuated to a nearby futsal court, where police officers carried out a thorough headcount to guarantee everyone's safety. Videos shared online have revealed flames affecting the flat below, as well as the air-conditioner condenser.
Defence Minister and Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar GRC, Chan Chun Sing, visited the site to render assistance to the affected residents. He encouraged everyone to seek support from the Buona Vista Community Centre for temporary shelter or additional help.
