In exciting news for classic car enthusiasts, UKTV has announced that it has recommissioned four more series of the popular factual entertainment show, 'Bangers & Cash', and its spin-off series, 'Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics'. This brings the total number of episodes to 72, surpassing all previous commissions or recommissions by UKTV in terms of number of hours and episodes.

'Bangers & Cash', which follows the work of the family-run classic car auction house, Mathewsons, based in North Yorkshire, is currently in production and will air on U&Yesterday and U. The new order will see the four new series of 'Bangers & Cash' and 'Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics' air from next year.

Derek Mathewson, a member of the Mathewsons family featured in 'Bangers & Cash', expressed his gratitude for the show's continued support. "We're thrilled that UKTV has recognised the popularity of our show and chosen to commission more episodes," he said. "We look forward to sharing more of our classic car adventures with viewers."

'Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics' demonstrates the challenges of making money buying, restoring, and selling classic cars, while also providing advice from the Mathewsons. The spin-off series has also been re-ordered for four more seasons (20 episodes).

Adam Collings, Director of Programming at UKTV, praised the show's popularity and its continued success. "Bangers & Cash is U&Yesterday's top performing title, and we're delighted to be able to give fans even more of what they love," he said. "We're excited to see what the Mathewsons and Air TV have in store for us in the new series."

The new seasons of 'Bangers & Cash' and 'Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics' will join other original programming on U&Yesterday and U, including 'Canal Boat Diaries', 'Masters of Reinvention', 'Classic Car Kings', 'Secrets of the London Underground', and 'Dream Car Fixers'.

Andy Joynson, Air TV's Director, expressed pride in the success of 'Bangers & Cash'. "We're absolutely thrilled that UKTV has chosen to commission four more series of Bangers & Cash and Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics," he said. "We're looking forward to continuing to work with the Mathewsons and UKTV to bring more classic car adventures to viewers."

Series 12 of 'Bangers & Cash' premieres on July 31st, and Series 13 will air in Q1 2026. All episodes of 'Bangers & Cash' and related series are available on demand on the free streaming service U.
