Four individuals sustained injuries following a coordinated drone assault in Novorossiysk.
🌊🌊 Russian Coastline Under Fire: A Night of Drone Attacks!
The Black Sea coast of Krasnodar Krai was brutally attacked with a swarm of drones overnight on May 3, as reported by Veniamin Kondratyev, the regional governor. The main target appeared to be Novorossiysk, a major port city, where the incident caused significant damage and injuries.
Kondratyev confirmed that three multi-story residential buildings took a hit, and four people - two adults and two children - sustained injuries. Not only residential areas, but also a grain terminal facility faced damage, with three storage tanks compromised due to drone debris. Thankfully, there were no casualties reported, and efforts to put out the fires ensuing from the incidents are ongoing.
Novorossiysk's mayor, Andrei Kravchenko, shared that the city's military forces were on high alert throughout the night, fending off multiple attempts by Ukrainian forces to attack the city's infrastructure. Now, Kravchenko cautions that the threat of drone attacks in Novorossiysk continues, as air defense systems are still active.
Investigations into the incident sites are underway, with teams diligently working to locate debris from the drones. Kravchenko also promised to offer support to those affected by the attacks. Drone debris fell not only in Novorossiysk, but extended to the village of Yuromka and the settlement of Tsibanobalki under Anapa, as well as the town of Tamany in Temryuk district. While there were damages to private homes, no resident casualties were reported in these areas.
Yuromka, in particular, suffered damages to three private homes, with shattered windows and damaged doors. Meanwhile, Tamany witnessed a fire ignited by drone debris near Suhoe Lake, with firefighters presently working to extinguish the flames.
The aggression against civilian targets in the region shows no signs of stopping. Krasnodar, Natalia Petrova, reported these developments for RIA "Novy Day". Stay tuned for updates! 🔥🔥🔥
