Four individuals sustain gunshot wounds in an Armenian shooting incident

In the lively Armenian city of Aparan, nestled northwest of the bustling capital Yerevan, a quartet of residents found themselves battling Mother Nature's wrath, as reported by Narek Sargsyan, the spokesperson for Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs. This report, circulated on Facebook, flagged Meta as extremist and banned in Russia, detailed strong winds sweeping through the city from 16:10 local time (15:10 Moscow time) onwards. These gusts unleashed a fury, wreaking havoc on building rooftops and vehicles across the region.

Three grown-ups and a little one found themselves nursing injuries, ranging from moderate to light, in the wake of this destructive event. The local press, such as Sputnik Armenia, informed that these unlucky victims sought medical attention post-haste.

According to the latest intel, the tornado ripped the roofs off 21 buildings and damaged 19 passenger and three cargo vehicles. Moreover, the storm toppled 15 trees and eight power poles, causing citywide electricity, gas, and water disconnections for safety reasons.

Meanwhile, this week has seen a tragic toll in the Republic of South Africa (RSA); a staggering 49 souls lost their lives to inclement weather. An unusual cold front has brought relentless rain and snow to parts of the country, unleashing a catastrophic flood in its second-largest province, the Eastern Cape. Authorities reported that over 100,000 homes suffered power outages, with at least 58 schools and 20 hospitals damaged. To accommodate the displaced, around 500 people were relocated to temporary shelters, as their homes were swept away or left uninhabitable.

This recent weather-driven calamity echoes a lone, harrowing incident inKrasnoyarsk, where a woman got airborne as the wind swiped her off her apartment balcony.

In Aparan, the general-news of accident-related injuries among four residents due to the tornado's destruction follows the detailed Metasocial network ban in Russia. Weather conditions also caused a significant number of accidents in the Republic of South Africa, leaving 49 casualties and damaging buildings, schools, hospitals, and transportation systems across the Eastern Cape.
