The German comedy "We Four and the Grandparents Day Scam" is set to air on the First channel on September 17 at 8:15 PM. Directed by Mia Spengler and written by Kai Kreuser, the film is a delightful mix of music, dance, adventure, and crime, all wrapped up in a heartwarming story.

The story revolves around Irene Glas, played by Uschi Glas, a refined lady who moves into an elegant senior residence. In this residence, she meets three other affluent and lively characters: Helene (Katharina Thalbach), Christel (Ursula Werner), and Annemarie (Soogi Kang).

Irene finds herself in a predicament when she falls victim to a grandparents day scam. An alleged police officer promptly picks up the money and jewelry from her, but instead of reporting the incident, she initially decides to pay the supposed bail.

However, the four characters decide to take matters into their own hands and solve the fraud themselves without involving the police. Katharina Thalbach, as Helene, takes the lead as a somewhat pushy but resolute woman who organizes and wins at skat tournaments.

Ursula Werner delights in flirting with muscular younger men, while Soogi Kang's film husband once fell for a nasty scam. The ensemble works harmoniously, with each character showcasing their capabilities.

The comedy also includes a well-thought-out telephone action to help other seniors protect themselves against scams. It is spiced with self-irony and social and TV criticism, including a joke about "Tatort".

"We Four and the Grandparents Day Scam" is more than just a comedy; it's a call to action for seniors to be vigilant against scams. Tune in on September 17 to witness this heartwarming and entertaining film.
