Foster children in Neuwied conquer nature’s challenges in Brexbachtal
In the heart of Neuwied, foster children recently enjoyed an adventure-filled day in the Brexbachtal gorge. The event, organised by the city's Youth Welfare Office, aimed to boost the children's confidence and foster connections.
The day saw foster children, aged six to sixteen, participating in activities such as climbing, balancing, and archery. Sybille Daumas, who usually leads the children's dance program, was on hand to ensure everyone had a great time. The office's head, Bernhard Fuchs, expressed his gratitude to the foster parents who made the day possible.
The adventure program was not led by the usual 'Abenteuer und Entdeckung' team, as information about them was unavailable. However, the children's enthusiasm was evident, with many looking forward to future shared adventures.
The foster care service in Neuwied continues to provide enriching experiences for its children. The Brexbachtal adventure program, with its focus on self-esteem building and interpersonal bonding, was a resounding success. The city's commitment to its foster children is clear, with many people offering medium- or long-term foster homes.
