Young basketball talent Artem Antipov has taken a significant step in his career, moving to 'Enisei' on loan from 'Zenit' for the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

Antipov, a 20-year-old forward, made his debut in the VTB United League with 'Pari Nizhny Novgorod' during the 2024/2025 season, where he played 43 games, averaging 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 18 minutes on the court.

The coach of 'Enisei' for the 2025/2026 season is Sergey Mamashev. Antipov's first match with his new team will be against 'Lokomotiv-Kuban' on October 2, away from home.

Antipov is a product of the Petersburg basketball school and has been playing in the 'blue-white-blue' system since 2018. His tenure with the system has been fruitful, as he won the DYUBL Championship and the VTB Youth League twice. Additionally, he helped 'Pari Nizhny Novgorod' secure the Russian Cup silver.

Since February 2025, Antipov has been called up to the Russian national team training camps. This move to 'Enisei' presents an opportunity for him to gain more playing experience in one of the strongest clubs in the VTB United League.

Meanwhile, 'Zenit' has welcomed a new addition to their roster, with former NBA player Andre Roberson joining the team from another club.

Elsewhere, the world of basketball is reminiscing about some of the most thrilling NBA matches of the 21st century, as AI has recently compiled a top-5 list.

It's worth noting that Antipov's career path mirrors that of another Russian basketball star, Kirilenko, who has been named one of the greatest Europeans in NBA history.
