Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4: A New Arsenal of Weapons
In the latest season of Fortnite, players can expect an exciting array of new weapons to add to their arsenal. The new weapons introduced in Season 4 include the Bug Blaster, Leadspitter 3000 minigun, Sweeper Shotgun, O.X.R. Rifle, Wrecker Revolver, Swarmstrike rocket launcher, and the highly anticipated Blade Blaster (due to be released later in the season).
As players progress through the ranks, they will have the opportunity to encounter Exotic weapons such as the Exotic Double Trouble, Exotic Shock n’ Slow Shockwave Launcher, and the Mythic variants of the Sweeper Shotgun, O.X.R. Rifle, and Wrecker Revolver. These Exotics can be found in OXR Bunkers when players reach Rank A.
One of the key features of this season is the introduction of OXR Drop Pods. As players increase their OXR Rank, an OXR Drop Pod will be sent to their location, containing valuable loot. Defeating specific Queen bugs in the game rewards players with Mythic weapons, such as the Mythic Enhanced Wrecker Revolver, Mythic OXR Assault Rifle, and Mythic Sweeper Shotgun. Achieving S+ Rank guarantees a Mythic weapon in the OXR Drop Pod.
The new weapons focus heavily on guns, marking a departure from the melee-heavy meta of previous seasons. This aligns with the bug-fighting theme tied to the in-game storyline and event.
Epic Games has made some significant changes to the loot pool in Season 4. A number of weapons from previous seasons have been removed, including the Spire Rifle, Holo Twister AR, Outlaw Shotgun, and more. Healing and utility items such as the Grappler, Surf Cube, Shield Bubble Jr, and healing items like Chug Jug have also been vaulted.
However, not all is lost for fans of these vaulted weapons, as some are returning this season. The Hammer Assault Rifle, Holo Twister AR, Stinger SMG, Shockwave Launcher, and Flare Gun are all back in the game. Healing and utility items such as Med-Mist, Flowberry Fizz, Slurp Juice, Chug Splash, Launch Pad, and Crash Pad Jr have also been unvaulted.
This weapon pool update reflects Epic Games' shift back to gun-focused combat and includes thematic weapons catering to the current season's lore and upcoming collaborations, such as with the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The new weapons are sure to bring excitement and new strategies to the battlefield in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4.
