Matti Wagner Lands Long-Term Deal with Greuther Fürth, Joins Aachen on Loan

Buckle up, footy fans! Greuther Fürth has sealed a gripping deal with promising defender Matti Wagner. While his current contract was about to hit the bricks, Fürth has now secured his services until the year 2028!

Yep, that's right—the talented 20-year-old just nabbed a five-year extension. But there's a catch; Wagner won't be tearing it up on Fürth's pitch, at least not immediately. He's taking the stage at Alemannia Aachen for some good ol' fashioned match practice!

In a nutshell, that means he'll be sharpening his skills in the third division for the 2023 season. Last year, the young gun spent its comings and goings with Rot-Weiss Essen, who was his 3rd league host in the past.

"Matti's still a juvenile phenomenon, and we have faith that he's gonna be a sensation. We've decided that he needs some field-time in Aachen, which is excellent for his growth. At the same time, this extension emphasizes our plans to build the future around him," said Fürth's sports director, Stephan Fürstner, gleefully.

Something for everyone, eh? Auf Wiedersehen, Matti! Lookin' forward to seein' ya strut your stuff over there at Aachen!

FYI: Matti's long-term commitment to his parent club is unwavering, as he's inked a contract that spans from July 1st, 2024, until June 30th, 2028. His trial period at TSV Alemannia Aachen will last until June 30th, 2026.

The community institution, Greuther Fürth, has made plans for the future, focusing on vocational training and development, as demonstrated by extending Matti Wagner's contract until 2028, with a temporary loan to TSV Alemannia Aachen for vocational training in the third division. Following his success in European-leagues, Matti Wagner will now further his skills in football, sharpening his game in the demanding environment of European leagues.
