Fort Collins intersection to close for crosswalk repairs this weekend
The City of Fort Collins Public Works Department will close the intersection of East Drake Road and South Lemay Avenue this weekend for asphalt crosswalk repairs. The closure will affect local businesses and residents, with detours in place and potential extended work hours.
From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, 2025, the intersection will be fully closed. Crews will work during these hours, with additional work possible outside this timeframe if needed. Through traffic will be rerouted as follows: southbound Lemay to East Prospect Road, northbound Lemay to East Horsetooth Road, westbound Drake to South Timberline Road, and eastbound Drake to South College Avenue. Pedestrians can still use the sidewalks, and local businesses and residences will remain accessible via the detour routes.
The asphalt paving work is expected to improve the safety and accessibility of the intersection. Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and allow extra time for travel during the closure.
