Fort Collins Breaks Ground on Power Trail Harmony Crossing for Safer Bike Routes

The City of Fort Collins has initiated the Power Trail Harmony Crossing project, aiming to enhance safety and connectivity for cyclists and pedestrians. The project will bridge a significant gap between Golden Meadows Park and Keenland Drive, with a ceremonial groundbreaking scheduled for Monday, December 2, at 11 a.m. at Golden Meadows Park.

Upon completion, the Power Trail will offer a continuous, paved connection from Trilby Road to the Spring Creek Trail. This will be accomplished by removing some trees on the south side of Harmony Road to accommodate a new underpass and trail segment. The underpass will provide a safe crossing beneath Harmony Road.

During construction, drivers can anticipate shoulder closures and median work on Harmony Road between McMurry Avenue and Timberline Road. The project is expected to be finalized in spring 2027. The Power Trail Harmony Crossing project is in progress, promising improved safety and connectivity for non-vehicle users. The completion of the Power Trail will provide a seamless, paved route from Trilby Road to the Spring Creek Trail. The public is encouraged to stay informed about the project's progress and any traffic impacts.
