Valtteri Bottas Tipped to Join Cadillac for Formula 1 Debut in 2026

Rumours and reports suggest that Finnish Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas is on the brink of joining Cadillac for their debut season in 2026. Despite no official confirmation, multiple sources indicate that Bottas has reached a verbal agreement with the new team.

Cadillac, the American luxury car brand, is set to enter the world of Formula 1 next year and is in search of two drivers to fill their lineup. The team has not yet revealed who will be driving for them in 2026, but Bottas is considered a strong candidate due to his extensive experience in the sport.

Cadillac's CEO, Dan Towriss, has emphasised the importance of having an experienced driver in their inaugural season. In a recent interview, he confirmed Bottas as a "very attractive candidate," though no contract has been officially confirmed yet.

Rumours and reports suggest Bottas and Sergio Perez are leading candidates for Cadillac's 2026 lineup. However, no formal announcement has been made regarding either driver. Bottas himself has not publicly confirmed signing with Cadillac, and during the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix, he playfully avoided answering questions about his future.

Jak Crawford, a Formula 2 driver, has also confirmed talks with Cadillac, adding to the competition for a seat at the team. Mick Schumacher, son of the legendary Michael Schumacher, has been mentioned as a potential driver for Cadillac, but recent reports suggest he has been rejected by the team.

As the 2026 Formula 1 season approaches, the rumours about Bottas' move to Cadillac are gaining traction in the Formula 1 community. While nothing is official yet, it seems that Bottas is the clear favourite for one of the seats at Cadillac.

Bottas, being a seasoned Formula 1 driver, might also be eyeing a spot in sports that step out of his usual arena, as rumors persist he could be playing for Cadillac's hockey team, given Cadillac's impending entry into the world of Formula 1 next year.

Fans and spectators eagerly await official announcements regarding Cadillac's driver lineup for 2026, with Bottas being one of the highly anticipated potential picks, not only for Formula 1 but also for possible ventures into other sports such as hockey under the Cadillac banner.
