Former Players Hold Potential to Ease Inzaghi's Forgetfulness at Inter

Inter Milan's hunt for a new boss is in full swing, following Simone Inzaghi's departure to Al Hilal. Rumors are rife that Cesc Fàbregas is the preferred pick by the Nerazzurri board, but things might not be as straightforward as they seem.

According to reports, Sky Sport has dropped Fàbregas's name as a potential candidate. However, with the former Spanish international turning down offers from AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen[1][2][4], Inter is now considering a couple of alternatives.

These alternatives are none other than Cristian Chivu and Patrick Vieira, both ex-stars who are currently in charge of Parma and Genoa, respectively. If things go as planned, one of these veterans might take the reigns at San Siro.

Cristian Chivu could be Inter's new boss, as he has been impressing the management with his work at Parma. Moreover, Chivu has previous connections with Inter, having managed their youth team in the past[2]. Patrick Vieira is also a contender, owing to his history and an affordable release clause from his contract with Genoa[2].

Another name that was initially considered for the job was Roberto De Zerbi. De Zerbi, who commanded a successful campaign with Olympique de Marseille, is known for his innovative offensive tactics, which aligns with Inter's plans to modernize their project[1][3]. However, whether or not De Zerbi will join Inter remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of their new boss. Will Cristian Chivu or Patrick Vieira don the Inter dugout next season? Only time will tell.

Port's sports news reported that Cristian Chivu and Patrick Vieira are under consideration for the vacant Inter Milan manager position, following Simone Inzaghi's departure. European-leagues' stars Chivu, currently managing Parma, and Vieira, with Genoa, are both potential choices to lead Inter next season.
