Fulham Make Late Signings Amid Believe Subdued Transfer Window

Fulham FC made a flurry of last-minute signings on deadline day, bringing in Brazilian midfielder Kevin from Shakhtar Donetsk, winger Samuel Chukwueze on loan from AC Milan, and teenage striker Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich.

The campaign to support the Every Minute Matters initiative, launched at Wembley in May 2024, has already had a significant impact, teaching over 300,000 people how to perform CPR using the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) free RevivR tool. Bobby Zamora, speaking on behalf of the campaign, expressed belief that the EFL 'Red Boot' award can take the Every Minute Matters campaign to another level.

Marco Silva, Fulham's manager, made a club-record deal for Kevin, the Brazilian midfielder, and also secured the services of Chukwueze and Kusi-Asare on loan. However, Silva was frustrated by a subdued transfer window where Fulham only made minimal moves until deadline day. Zamora believes that the late signings may have been a result of Silva's impatience, as the departures of Willian and Carlos Vinicius earlier in the summer left Fulham light in attacking areas.

Despite these additions, Zamora suggests that Silva would have preferred to sign more players. He believes that the gaps left by departing players have not been fully filled, and he understands Silva's recent frustrations.

The EFL 'Red Boot' award, launched in collaboration with Sky Bet and the BHF, aims to create an army of 500,000 CPR lifesavers and raise funds for the BHF. The goal is for footballers across the EFL to raise as much money as possible for the British Heart Foundation and the Every Minute Matters campaign.

Benjamin Lecomte was the only significant addition to Fulham's squad during the summer, apart from the late arrivals of Kevin, Chukwueze, and Kusi-Asare. Despite these late signings, Zamora believes that Fulham have been a very good, organised side since their return to the Premier League.

Silva's summer signings have added depth and talent to Fulham's squad, and the club will hope that these players can help them maintain their impressive form in the Premier League. Bobby Zamora has expressed his support for Silva, and fans will be eager to see how these new signings perform in the coming months.
