Crossbra is gearing up for an exciting week-long celebration as the local sports club, SG Crossbra, marks its 100th anniversary from August 22nd to 31st. The anniversary week promises a variety of highlights for the audience, including a grand celebration, musical events, and a special football game featuring former DDR national players.

Visitors are advised to arrive early due to limited parking spaces. The access road to the sports field will be closed, and the autograph session with food and drinks will take place on the sports field at 5 pm on the day of the game.

Throughout the festive week, various departments such as football, table tennis, cycling, hiking, children's, women's, and seniors' sports will present themselves. The host team for the special football game on Friday evening will be an alumni team of SG Crossbra, with players such as Raimund Nachtwey, Ralf Kruse, and Ralf Trümper participating. Four or five players from outside will also join the host team.

The main event of the evening will be a special football game featuring the "East Football Tradition Team" with many former DDR national players. Former national players Dariusz Wosz (HFC Chemie, VfL Bochum), Ronny Hebestreit (Rot-Weiß Erfurt), Torsten Gütschow (Dynamo Dresden), Jürgen Raab (Carl Zeiss Jena), Dirk Stahmann (1. FC Magdeburg), and Armin Romstedt (RW Erfurt) have confirmed their attendance. After the game, these former players will stay for eating and drinking, and anyone who wants to can join the conversations.

The club would like to thank all sponsors for making this great event possible. The club aims to continue promoting traditional sports like football and table tennis, while also expanding its offerings to cater to everyone in the town.

In addition to the sports events, the anniversary week will offer various musical events featuring the bands "Brassvegas" and "Borderline" in the following week.

Unfortunately, the club chairman Thomas Döllmann will not be able to play due to injury. The event has been organized uncomplicatedly with team manager Matthias Döschner (Dynamo Dresden).

On Saturday evening, there will be a grand celebration in the hall starting at 6 PM, featuring speeches and awards. For updated information on the former DDR national players participating in the "East Football Tradition Team", it is recommended to check official announcements from the event organizers, the DDR football association, or local sports news sources closer to the event date.
