In a significant shift for NDR's reportage magazine 'Clear', Tanit Koch has assumed the role of the new moderator, succeeding Julia Ruhs. Koch will also contribute editorially to the format of 'Clear', marking a new chapter for the popular programme.

Julia Ruhs, renowned for her conservative to right-conservative political stances, debuted on 'Clear' with an episode centered around migration. Her inaugural episode sparked a political debate, with discussions surrounding her political polarization and ideological viewpoints. However, it is crucial to note that these debates revolve around the diversity of opinion and political orientation in public broadcasting, rather than political censorship.

Despite her departure from NDR, Ruhs will continue to appear in BR episodes of 'Clear'. This shared arrangement between NDR and Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) is set to commence from 2026, with episodes being produced alternately by both broadcasters.

Tanit Koch views her role in 'Clear' as an opportunity to contribute to the diversity of opinion in public broadcasting. She aims to bring a fresh perspective to the programme, maintaining its commitment to open and honest discussions.

The number of episodes of 'Clear' is set to increase, promising more opportunities for insightful political debates and thought-provoking discussions. Koch will co-present 'Clear' alongside Ruhs, creating a dynamic duo that promises to deliver engaging content.

This change in moderation marks an exciting time for 'Clear', with both Koch and Ruhs bringing their unique perspectives to the table. As always, the programme remains dedicated to fostering open dialogue and promoting understanding in a diverse and complex world.
