Forestry work in Glarus Nord to disrupt traffic until February 2026

Motorists in Glarus Nord should prepare for temporary traffic disruptions and delays due to forestry work starting mid-November 2025 and lasting until February 2026. The work, scheduled between Plattenboden and Haslenseeli, will cause brief hold-ups on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Drivers are advised to follow signage, warnings, and instructions from forestry personnel to ensure their safety during this period. While the road will remain accessible in case of emergencies, motorists should anticipate delays of up to 15 minutes during timber transportation. Logging operations in Plattenwald are expected to cause intermittent traffic delays along Oberseestrasse. The felled timber will be transported to the roadside using cable cranes or helicopters.

The forestry work is set to cause some inconvenience for drivers in the area over the next few months. Motorists are urged to plan their journeys accordingly, follow safety guidelines, and allow extra time for their commutes.
