Foreign residents face removal from the country for operating garages surreptitiously on government lands unlawfully.
In a joint effort to enforce regulations and maintain order, the Ahmadi Security Directorate and the Fahaheel Municipality recently conducted a campaign targeting violators operating unlicensed garages on state-owned property in the Ahmadi Governorate.
The operation, aimed at enforcing regulations on state-owned property, resulted in the removal of two caravans and the lifting of ten abandoned vehicles. These structures were likely associated with the illegal garages operated by expatriates.
The Fahaheel Municipality and Ahmadi Security Directorate have been working together to ensure compliance with regulations on state-owned property. This collaborative approach helps in identifying and addressing violations effectively.
The expatriates caught running these unlicensed garages faced severe consequences. Six of them have been referred to the Administrative Deportation Department, leading to their deportation. The names of these individuals will also be added to the list of those banned from entering Kuwait again.
The use of state property is strictly regulated in Kuwait. Unauthorized use, such as operating unlicensed garages, is considered illegal. This is part of Kuwait's broader efforts to manage and protect public spaces.
Violators may face legal action, including fines and potential imprisonment, depending on the specific circumstances and the laws governing such offenses. The immediate closure of unauthorized garages is typically enforced along with other legal measures to prevent future violations.
This operation is not an isolated incident. It forms part of the ongoing efforts to maintain order and enforce regulations in the Ahmadi Governorate. The campaign targeted violators across several areas, demonstrating the commitment of the authorities to uphold the laws and protect state property.
The details of the operation, including the removal of caravans and lifting of abandoned vehicles, were reported in various news sources. The authorities continue to work together to ensure compliance with regulations on state-owned property, safeguarding public spaces and maintaining public order.
