Germany is set for a warm and sunny week, according to meteorologist Thore Hansen from the weather forecasting center of the German Weather Service in Offenbach.

On Monday, the country can expect a mix of sun and clouds, with scattered showers. High temperatures will range between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius.

As the week progresses, strong and isolated thunderstorms are expected, particularly in southern and mountainous areas. On Tuesday, dense clouds will move in from the center of Germany to the south.

However, the rainy weather is expected to end mid-week. Wednesday will be pleasant, with plenty of sunshine. In the south, the day will be particularly sunny, while the north and along the Baltic Sea could experience stormy conditions.

Temperatures will remain similar to Monday, with highs around 25–30 °C during the day. The warmest temperatures on Wednesday will be along the Upper and High Rhine. In the northeast, expect sun and clouds with isolated showers. The weather forecast does not mention any thunderstorms for the northeast on Wednesday.

The monthly outlook for Central Europe predicts daytime temperatures mostly between 28 and 32 °C, with possible heatwaves mid-month, and night temperatures between 14 and 18 °C. Rainfall is expected to be below normal, with 3–5 days of precipitation. Sunshine is expected to be dominant, especially during persistent high pressure periods, but some risk of dry conditions and wildfire concerns in drier areas.

For more localized forecasts, the Alpine region can expect sunny mornings followed by increasing clouds and localized rain showers in the afternoons. Thunderstorms are anticipated to develop from Friday and through the weekend, along with a mix of sunshine and clouds. Temperatures are forecasted around 24 to 30 °C highs and 12 to 15 °C lows during these days.

In southern parts of Germany like Inzell, the forecast shows some rain and thunderstorms around late July, transitioning into a mix of sun and clouds. Snowfall is not expected into early August given summer conditions.

In summary, for Germany in the immediate days to follow August 6, 2025, expect warm daytime temperatures mostly in the mid to high 20s Celsius, dominant sunshine with clouds increasing in the afternoons, a few days with light rain or localized showers, and occasional thunderstorms particularly over southern and mountainous areas. Nighttime temperatures should remain mild around 14–18 °C. Persistent high pressure will generally favor sunny and warm spells, but some instability will bring short-lived showers or storms.

Meteorologist Thore Hansen's predictions do not include Thursday and beyond.

Weather-forecasting centers like the German Weather Service provide accurate weather predictions, such as the warm and sunny week in Germany as reported by Thore Hansen. As the week progresses, weather-forecasting models indicate the possibility of strong thunderstorms, particularly in southern and mountainous areas.
