Shift's a comin', folks! North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) is in for a weather rollercoaster ride starting Tuesday!

Gearing up for some changeable weather on Tuesday, thanks to a weak low-pressure system gracing NRW. From our trusty weather pals at the German Weather Service (DWD), we're given the scoop that after Wednesday, we'll be feeling some southern breeze bringing balmy air from the southwest.

On Tuesday, the day breaks with skies mostly cloudy. Put on your raincoats, northerners and mountain dwellers, as light drizzle might pop up from late morning onwards. Down south, it's going to be a dry day. As afternoon beckons, the clouds'll disperse in the north and drizzle may linger a while in the south. Temperatures will sway between 17 to 22 degrees, chilling out to 15 degrees on higher grounds. The wind'll blow moderately from the southwest, shifting trickily towards the northwest, with gusts up to 55 km/h hitting the mountains and occasionally the lowlands, especially in the north and northeast. The winds die down significantly in the evening.

In the wee hours from Tuesday to Wednesday, showers in the south will quiet down, leaving many regions dry. The fog'll start forming in pockets, and the sky'll grow less cloudy. The mercury dips to the range of 10 to 6 degrees.

Brace yourselves for sunny to partly cloudy skies on Wednesday, with zero rain expected. Temperatures soar to 20 to 25 degrees, with the western regions scoring the highest values. The mountains max out at 17 degrees.

Wednesday night to Thursday's a clear and dry affair, with temperatures plummeting to 13 to 8 degrees, nosediving to 6 degrees in the lowlands.

On Thursday, buckle up for a toasty summer day with ample sunshine and just high-level clouds. High temperatures will range from 25 to 30 degrees, with 23 degrees in the mountains. The wind sails along moderately from the east to southeast.

Now, for the icing on the cake – a tropical night's possible Friday night to Saturday in some areas, with temperatures hovering at 22 to 17 degrees!

Stay tuned, as Friday's mostly sunny and dry with only isolated heat thunderstorms possible. Anticipate highs of 28 to 33 degrees, with 26 degrees up in the mountains. The wind'll maintain a light to moderate sail from southerly or variable directions.
