Forecast details for July 5-7: upcoming weather conditions and predictions
Almaty, Kazakhstan, is set to experience a noticeable drop in temperatures starting from July 5, 2025, providing much-needed relief from the recent heatwave. According to meteorological forecasts, the daytime high on July 5 will be around 26°C, a significant decrease from the June heatwave conditions where temperatures reached 35-40°C.
The relief comes as a result of incoming rains and thunderstorms expected across Kazakhstan, including Almaty, from July 4 onwards. These weather fronts are expected to cool the atmosphere and reduce the extreme heat.
From July 5, temperatures are forecasted to remain moderate and gradually increase but stay below the previous extreme levels. On July 6, the maximum temperature is expected to be 29°C, with a minimum of 23°C. The trend continues for the following days, with temperatures reaching a high of 33°C on July 11 and a low of 24°C on July 9.
The weather conditions over the three days will also include variable cloud cover on Saturday, with northwesterly winds blowing at speeds ranging from 3 to 8 meters per second. On Sunday, the wind direction is expected to shift to the east with similar wind speeds. No precipitation is forecasted for either Saturday or Sunday.
Despite the cooler temperatures, humidity levels are expected to remain low over the three days. However, the arrival of rains and thunderstorms from July 4 onwards is expected to help maintain a more comfortable environment in Almaty.
