Footballer Alisha Lehmann, named the world's sexiest, now has a bodyguard at the Women's Euros due to online abuse regarding her appearance while on the bench.

Alisha Lehmann, the 25-year-old Swiss professional footballer, has made a significant impact in the world of women's football. Born in Tägertschi, Switzerland on January 21, 1999, Lehmann's football journey began at the tender age of nine with FC Konolfingen. Her talent was evident from the start, as she later joined the youth system of BSC YB, training with both girls' and boys' teams.

Lehmann's senior professional career took off at BSC YB Frauen, where she scored a hat-trick in her first season and ended as her team's top scorer with nine goals. Over her time at BSC YB, she scored 25 goals in 52 league appearances. In 2018, Lehmann moved to England to join West Ham United in the FA Women's Super League, following her strong performances in the 2018 U-19 European Championship hosted by Switzerland.

At West Ham, Lehmann became known for scoring important goals, including a brace securing a 2–1 win over Reading in February 2019 and a crucial equalizer in the FA Cup semi-final against Reading, helping her team reach the final. She scored nine goals in 30 appearances across all competitions for West Ham and was shortlisted for the BBC Super League Young Player of the Season award in 2019–20.

Lehmann had subsequent spells with Everton (on loan) and Aston Villa before joining Juventus in Serie A, where she currently plays as a forward, wearing number 7. By December 2024, she had made 12 appearances and scored 2 goals for Juventus.

Regarding her international career, Lehmann has been a prominent player for Switzerland, earning 58 caps and scoring 9 goals by late 2024. She is a member of the Switzerland squad that will face Spain in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Women's Euros. However, Lehmann has played only nine minutes in the tournament so far, raising questions about her form and fitness.

Off the pitch, Lehmann has amassed a large following on social media, with over 17 million Instagram followers. She is often approached by fans for selfies and autographs, and her popularity has led to a personal bodyguard being assigned to her at the Women's Euros.

Lehmann's personal life has also been in the spotlight. She was in a relationship with fellow footballer Douglas Luiz, but the couple ended their relationship after initially dating in 2021 and rekindling it in 2024. Their relationship has reportedly had an impact on their future at Juventus, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Despite the challenges, Lehmann remains a key player for Switzerland in major international tournaments and a significant figure in women's football both on the pitch and in the public eye. Her future at Juventus Women's team is uncertain, but she is expected to remain there until 2027.
