Head to Borussia Veen on Whitsun Monday, June 9th for a fun-filled day! Here's a run-down of the football tournaments for eight age groups.
This year marks the 60th Whitsun Monday tournament at Borussia Veen's sports facility. It's the day when C-, D-, E-, F-Juniors, Bambinis, and girls U17, U15, and U13 will battleground each other for their respective trophies.
The action starts early with F- and D-Juniors kicking off at 9 AM. Prepare for a thrilling competition in the F-Juniors as twelve teams enter the fray, with each team taking home a trophy. Meanwhile, in the D-Juniors, eight teams will fight for the traveling trophy in memory of Ulrich "Ulpa" Keisers, a beloved youth coach we lost last year.
At 11:30 AM, the E-Juniors will have their turn, followed by the girls U13 category at 11:45 AM. Get ready for some excitement by the Halfmannsweg Stadium pitch at 12 PM as twelve Bambini teams take to the field, surrounded by supporters like mom, dad, friends, and family. Every team participating will receive a trophy, and there will be no final tables this time.
The C-Juniors will play for the coveted Charly-Schweden memorial trophy at 3 PM. Six teams will battle it out to lay their hands on this prestigious award.
The tournament concludes with the U17 and U15 girls' teams at 5:45 PM. They'll be playing for the traveling trophy in memory of Klaus Büren, donated by Arno Hüsch.
Alongside the football matches, you'll find a bouncy castle, football dartboard, Kreis Wesel playmobile, large tombola, food stalls, coffee, and cake. The event attracts cyclists too, making it a perfect pitstop for food and refreshments. Don't miss out on the tradition!
