Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Veteran Offensive Lineman Andrus Peat and Quarterback Logan Woodside

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made two notable additions to their roster, signing veteran offensive lineman Andrus Peat and journeyman quarterback Logan Woodside to one-year deals on Thursday.

Andrus Peat, a first-round pick (13th overall) by New Orleans in 2015, has spent the majority of his career with the Saints before a brief stint with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024. Over nine seasons, Peat has played primarily as a left guard and tackle, starting in 103 of his 126 regular season games. Although he has not won a Super Bowl, Peat was selected to three straight Pro Bowls with the Saints from 2018-20.

Peat's addition to the Steelers comes as they waived long snapper Tucker Addington, indicating that Peat is expected to contribute to the offensive line unit. As of now, specific career statistics and accolades with the Steelers are not available, but Peat is currently training with the team during their 2025 camp.

Logan Woodside, a 30-year-old quarterback, was a seventh-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018. Since then, Woodside has played for the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons, but his impact on these teams has not been extensively detailed. In his NFL career, Woodside has completed 4 of 7 passes for 34 yards and one interception, appearing in 13 games (no starts).

The Steelers signed Woodside as well, but it remains unclear what role he will play on the team. With no detailed information about his involvement with the Steelers, it's uncertain what impact Woodside will have on the team.

The Steelers also made room on their training camp roster by waiving guard Nick Broeker. As the preseason progresses, fans and analysts will be eager to see how Peat and Woodside perform and contribute to the Steelers' offense.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have added to their quarterback ranks, signing Logan Woodside, who formerly played for Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Atlanta Falcons. As a seventh-round pick in 2018, he has completed only 4 of 7 passes in the NFL.

With Peat's addition to the offensive line unit, the Pittsburgh Steelers may find a new force on the football field in American-football, as he spent nine seasons demonstrating his skills in the NFL with New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders.

In the upcoming NFL season, a new quarterback competition could unfold within the Steelers, with Woodside joining young talent like Mitch Trubisky and Dwayne Haskins. American football enthusiasts look forward to witnessing the games where Woodside might showcase his potential.
