Football team FC Pipinsried suffered a defeat in Ismaning
In a closely contested match, FC Pipinsried (FCP) faced FC Ismaning in the Bayernliga South on Thursday evening. The game, played before an attendance of 320 spectators, saw FCP dominate for 60 minutes, but a series of uncharacteristic errors from their goalkeeper Maximilian Engl led to a dramatic turn of events.
FCP started the match aggressively, looking for an early decision after the break. Their persistence paid off when Florian Gebert headed in a pass to give FCP a 2:0 lead after just 23 minutes. However, Engl's performance began to unravel, resulting in two goals for Ismaning. Serhii Shcherbyna scored the first, making it 1:3, followed by a second, initially credited as an own goal by Engl, which brought the score to 2:3.
Despite Engl's errors, he was defended by Steinberger, with the FCP team continuing to push for a second goal. Kubilay Celik converted a penalty to extend FCP's lead to 3:0 after 57 minutes, but Ismaning refused to give up.
The referee for the game, Ettenreich from Zusamaltheim, kept control as both teams fought for supremacy. Ismaning almost equalised just before half-time, but failed to capitalise. The game remained tense until Alessandro Cazorla scored a brace for Ismaning, bringing the score level at 3:3.
FCP pushed for a winner in the second half, creating several opportunities, but were unable to convert. In the end, it was Ismaning who scored the equaliser, leaving FCP to lament a missed opportunity and two lost points in the Bayernliga South.
The lineup for FC Pipinsried was as follows: Engl, Mayer, Lobenhofer, Schröck (76. Lindner), Keßler (46. Dombrowka) - Lungwitz - Gebert, Wiegert (85. Petkovic), Göetzendoerfer (59. Rodriguez-Benitez), Celik (59. Benko) - Konjuhi. The identity of the substitute goalkeeper who replaced Engl after his own goal incident remains undisclosed.
