Football team enthusiasts honor NFL superstar Tom Brady by constructing a monument
Tom Brady Honored with Bronze Statue Outside Gillette Stadium
Tom Brady, the legendary quarterback who led the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl titles and ten appearances over a span of 22 years, has been immortalized with a 12-foot tall bronze statue outside the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The statue, a larger-than-life likeness of Brady, was unveiled during a ceremony held on a Friday. The quarterback, now 48 years old, attended the event and expressed his feelings about the statue, stating that he is "incredibly honored" and feels a bit "old."
The statue's placement outside the stadium marks a significant moment in the history of the New England Patriots. Robert Kraft, the owner of the team, described Brady as the "heartbeat" of the team, and his journey demonstrates that it's not where you start, but where you finish that matters.
Brady's significant accomplishments with the Patriots include setting numerous NFL postseason records, such as the most playoff wins, pass attempts, completions, yards, and touchdowns. In the Super Bowl specifically, Brady holds records for most pass attempts, completions, touchdowns, and yards, and led the Patriots to historic comebacks, such as in Super Bowl LI where the Patriots overcame a 28-3 deficit to win in overtime.
Throughout his Patriots career, Brady was instrumental not only in individual statistical milestones but also in shaping a dynasty built on consistent postseason success and multiple championships that defined a two-decade era of NFL dominance with the Patriots.
Some of Brady's highlights include throwing touchdown passes to 77 different Patriots players, setting an NFL record for variety of targets. He also led the Patriots to 19 division titles, dominating the AFC East throughout his tenure. In 2018, at age 41, Brady became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl during the Patriots' 13–3 victory over the Rams in Super Bowl LIII, which was the lowest-scoring Super Bowl ever.
After leaving the New England Patriots, Brady won an additional NFL title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite not providing information about any other sports or teams that Brady may have been involved with after leaving the Patriots, his impact on the NFL is undeniable.
