Football success of Van Nuys high school boosted by participation of Physical Education students
The Van Cleef Wolves football team is currently on a roll, with an undefeated 6-0 record to start the season. This success can be attributed in part to Coach Ken Osorio's innovative strategy of recruiting students from various school activities, particularly P.E. classes.
Three standout players from the P.E. classes who have made a significant impact for the Wolves are Tony, Jason, and Michael. Herrera has racked up impressive statistics, with 315 yards passing and three touchdowns, as well as 348 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
The Wolves' upcoming game is expected to be an exciting matchup against the defending champion Kennedy. Another dual-threat quarterback, Kennedy's Diego Montes, is expected to provide a challenging opposition.
