In Hong Kong, Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al-Nassr teammates held a training session on Saturday at the Football Training Centre. The session took place on sun-drenched pitches in Tseung Kwan O, a change from the previous day's training location due to Tropical Storm Podul subsiding.
Contrary to earlier reports, the training session on Saturday did not take place at the Football Training Centre, nor was it held at the same location as the one on Friday. The Post obtained footage of the Al-Nassr training session on Saturday, which was posted on their social media accounts.
The training session was part of the preparations for Al-Nassr's Saudi Super Cup campaign. Al-Nassr, who finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, will face Al-Ittihad in the first semi-final of the Saudi Super Cup at Hong Kong Stadium on Tuesday. Al-Ittihad is the domestic champion in the Saudi Pro League.
This high-profile encounter will mark Ronaldo’s official season debut. The semi-final against Al-Ittihad, featuring a team led by his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema, promises to be an exciting match.
In addition to the Saudi Super Cup, Al-Nassr's upcoming match schedule includes the AFC Champions League Two campaign. For the AFC Champions League Two 2025-26 group stage, Al-Nassr competes in Group D along with FC Goa, Al-Zawraa, and Istiklol.
The AFC Champions League Two matches span from mid-September to late December 2025. The first match for Al-Nassr is against Al-Zawraa at home on September 17, 2025. The team will then travel to Tajikistan to face Istiklol on October 1, 2025.
Later in October, Al-Nassr will face FC Goa in an away match at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, Goa. The return leg will take place at Al-Awwal Park, Riyadh, on November 5, 2025. The team will then travel to Iraq for a match against Al-Zawraa on November 26, 2025. The final home match of the group stage will be against Istiklol on December 24, 2025.
ESPN Africa will broadcast the Saudi Pro League and Saudi Super Cup matches during the season, including Al-Nassr games featuring Ronaldo. Recently, Al-Nassr completed the signing of Kingsley Coman, a Champions League winner and 2022 World Cup finalist with France, who joined the team in Hong Kong. Coman is now a member of Al-Nassr and participated in the training sessions alongside Ronaldo and his teammates, who were put through their paces during the sessions.
