football star Cristiano Ronaldo criticizes individuals dubbed 'idiots' for doubting the transfer decision of former Chelsea player to Saudi Arabia

In a surprising turn of events, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has come to the defence of his fellow Portuguese player Joao Felix, who recently joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Ronaldo, who signed a two-year contract worth a staggering £492m in June, has been building something and doing his part in developing the project at Al-Nassr. His influence seems to have extended beyond the pitch, as he played a role in Felix's decision to join the club. Felix, who had a turbulent period in Europe before his move to Al-Nassr, left Chelsea in the summer in a £26million deal, which could rise to £43m. His tenure at Stamford Bridge was short-lived, with the 25-year-old making 20 appearances for the club but starting only three Premier League games before leaving. The Portuguese football podcast 'Chuveirinho' questioned Felix's decision to move to Saudi Arabia at such a young age. This criticism did not go unnoticed by Felix, who felt a 'wonderful moment' and a 'beautiful feeling' when Ronaldo talked to him about joining Al-Nassr. In response to the podcast's comments, Ronaldo took to Instagram, writing, 'Idiots don't understand anything about football, yet they still give their opinions,' alongside three crying emojis. He was referring to the criticism directed at Felix's move to Al-Nassr. The post from Ronaldo, which has since been removed, sparked a response from Chuveirinho, who posted a message asking whether they 'deserve' to be called out by Ronaldo after regularly praising him. Felix, who made an immediate impact in his new club, scoring a hat-trick on his debut and registering one assist in five games, seems to be settling well in Saudi Arabia. As for Ronaldo, he continues to make headlines, not just for his on-field performances, but also for his strong support of his fellow Portuguese players.
