Football legend Bill Belichick confronted with undisturbed focus disagreements, declining to succumb to diversions.
Ditch the idea of a 24-year-old gal who's both a PR whiz and significant other on campus. We're talking 'bout Mac Jones and Cam Newton, 4-13, and Bill Belichick being discarded like yesterday's news by the New England Patriots.
Forget the old man, 73-year-old Belichick, being an icon in the NFL – he's got more issues than a Jordan Hudson problem (unless you count the fact he seems to let his lady run his life).
Belichick's got serious football issues instead. He's a target on social media, and anyone can see he couldn't sneak back into pro football even if he tried. With over 300 career wins under his belt, he spent the last two seasons hustling for a new gig.

As for Tom Brady, he's transitioned from a seven-time Super Bowl champion into a $375 million man calling the big game for FOX. Meanwhile, his old coach is stuck coaching college kids while damaging his own image.
Bill, who used to be the defensive genius who built a system around Brady and made "Do your job" a household phrase in Boston, is nothing more than an old sweatshirt-wearing man trying to convince kids that North Carolina is a football state, not a basketball one.

Belichick has only had one winning season since 2019, and the world has changed since 2020. The grumpiest coach ever temporarily regained some cool factor during the past NFL season, pottering around with podcasts and media interviews. Unfortunately, a few months later, Mike Vrabel is coaching the Pats, Travis Hunter is a Jacksonville Jaguar, and Belichick is hiding out on a book tour after a horrendous TV interview.
"Bill Belichick is the Greatest Head Coach in NFL History, but his girlfriend Jordon Hudson is becoming a problem," tweeted Robert Griffin III, a Heisman Trophy winner and producer of one of the most thrilling rookie seasons in NFL history. "Bill can date whoever he wants, but his relationship has become the one thing he always hated as a coach, a DISTRACTION for his UNC Football team."
Getting blasted by RGIII is one thing. Getting torched by one of Brady's favorite wide receivers and the MVP of Super Bowl LIII is unavoidable.
"The No. 1 thing we used to talk about all the time in New England was distractions," Julian Edelman said on The Herd with Colin Cowherd. "Let's not make distractions. The game's already as hard as it is. To prepare for it, to play, to coach."
Regardless of Hudson's role, she's become a distraction. That's what we all think right now. This is becoming a distraction. We gotta practice what we preach here."
Belichick the NFL genius would have axed Hudson for being a massive distraction to his football team with no positive impact on the field. But seven years after his last Super Bowl trophy, it's hard to remember when Belichick was a great coach, not just a social media punching bag.
He messed up with Newton. He messed up with Jones. He messed up by dumping Brady too soon and hasn't been the same coach since the centerpiece of the Patriots' dynasty won a Super Bowl in Tampa Bay.
UNC football is all about Belichick, not the young college kids he's supposed to be leading and inspiring. That self-centered culture wouldn't have been tolerated in the New England building.
