Football event of inclusivity: HTB invites you to the "enchantment at Ralph Fromhagen Hall"

The inclusive football team of HTB, a remarkable group of children and youth with and without intellectual disabilities, is celebrating its first birthday with a two-day college football tournament named "Ralph Fromhagen Football Hallen-Zauber." The event will take place on Saturday, February 10th, and Sunday, February 11th, at the sports hall of the island school located at Krieterstraße 2b.

The college football tournament, organised by Ralf Schneidewind, the team manager, and Raja Brülle, the football coordinator of Special Olympics, promises to be an exciting spectacle. More than 15 teams will participate in the college football tournament on both days, with the inclusive team from Hansa Rostock joining the festivities on Sunday.

The team has had a successful year, with their first victory in the college football tournament held in Wolfsburg in December. They also secured three second places, showcasing their determination and skill. Schneidewind, with a goal to qualify for the Inclusive College Football World Cup 2026 in Australia, is encouraging the public to attend the college football tournament as a spectator on both days.

Admission to the college football tournament is free, making it an accessible event for all. The games will be played according to the rules of Special Olympics Germany, ensuring fair and inclusive competition. The college football tournament will commence at 10 am both days and conclude at 6 pm.

The first qualifying college football tournament is planned for May in Münster. This event marks a significant step forward in the team's journey, as they strive for more victories and the opportunity to represent Germany in the World Cup.

Schneidewind and Brülle are also working towards establishing an Inclusive College Football League in Hamburg. Brülle, a key figure in the development of the inclusive college football team HTB in Hamburg, has been instrumental in promoting and supporting the team's integration and inclusive sports activities.

The inclusive college football team of HTB started with five players in February 2023 and has grown to 27 members. Their first college football tournament on their own pitch was the Halloween HTB Inclusive Cup, where six teams participated. As they celebrate their first birthday, the team continues to grow and inspire, breaking barriers and promoting inclusion through sport.

Join the celebration and witness the passion, determination, and unity of the inclusive college football team of HTB at the Ralph Fromhagen Football Hallen-Zauber College Football Tournament. Let's cheer them on as they strive for success, both on and off the field.
