Sun's Back After the Rain: A Peak into the Weekend Weather
- Following the shower comes the sunshine
Hey there!
Got some weather updates for you, seeing as how we're still battling the late winter chill. The good news is, that from the weekend onwards, the sun's gonna make a more frequent appearance, and we'll probably see temperatures ticking up slightly. But before that dance, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts some rain and snow.
Ready for the lowdown?
This Friday's weather report's got a splash of the wet stuff, from Bavaria all the way through to South Brandenburg. Rain will be a common sight, and snow'll fall in the mountainous regions. "Quite the contrary," says Markus Uebel from DWD, "brief clearings, particularly in the northwest of Germany, are to be expected." Remember, it's gonna be nippy — think 3 to 8 degrees.
Moving on to the weekend...
On Saturday, the south'll stay cloudy and intermittently rainy. Did somebody say snowfall in the hills again? You betcha. The center and north will witness gloomy skies too, but fear not! Sunshine will still manage to peek through for longer periods or, in some cases, even grace us with a full-on shine, according to Uebel.
Temperature-wise, Saturday'll be much the same as Friday—4 to 9 degrees. But here's where things get interesting—Sunday forecasts suggest temperatures could climb into double digits, up to a balmy 10 degrees! Night owls, not so fast—frost'll still be a thing, with lows of up to -4 degrees.
Springtime... In sight?
"Well, the harbinger of spring just might be making an appearance in the coming week," the meteorologist muses, "With sunshine becoming more common, and a rise in temperatures expected, it's starting to look like a promisingTime."
That's all for now. Keep an eye on that skyline, and remember to stay warm out there!
- In Bavaria and extending down to South Brandenburg, the weather on Friday will feature rain and snow, as the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts, despite brief clearings in the northwest of Germany.
- On Sunday, temperatures across Germany could rise to a balmy 10 degrees, according to Uebel, but nighttime will still be chilly, with lows of up to -4 degrees.
- While Thuringia might not see the highest temperatures this weekend, the north, center, and southern regions of Germany could experience sunshine peeking through the clouds by Saturday, according to Uebel, possibly hinting at promising signs of springtime weather.
